A Faster Way to Improve Your Game

Inspired by feedback from our Costa Rica Pickleball Getaway, this camp combines lessons on consecutive days with immediate opportunities to apply what you learn during real game play.

Our First two Three-Day Camps

In July were a tremendous success. Participants especially valued the personalized coaching, consecutive-day format, and opportunity to apply what they learned during real game play while receiving immediate feedback from our coaches.

“Thank you Elias and Edwin for a great pickleball camp last week. It was hugely beneficial and helped make my game much more strategic. I now have a clearer understanding of what shot to choose, where to place it, and how to approach each rally with greater confidence." — Glen A. Camp Participant

“I really enjoyed the three-day camp and learned a great deal about improving both my shots and strategy. I especially appreciated how each day built on the previous one, the time spent on each skill, and the clear explanations of why certain shots and positioning choices are important.” — Debra C. Camp Participant

Our Focus

Our Day Camp has a clear focus on the 5 shots and decisions that have the greatest impact on every rally.

Master the First Five Shots. Transform the Way You Play

Instead of learning a skill once and hoping to remember it later, players were able to:

  • Learn the technique and strategy

  • Practise it through purposeful drills

  • Apply it during real points and games

  • Receive immediate feedback from coaches

  • Return the next day and build on what they learned

Personalized Coaching That Accelerates Improvement

One of the most important features of the camp is our one-coach-to-three-player ratio.

This small-group format allows our coaches to spend more time observing your technique, decision-making, movement, positioning, and shot selection.

You will receive personalized feedback based on your game—not only general instruction given to the entire group.

This allows us to identify the adjustments that can make the biggest difference for you.

Three Days of Progressive Learning

Each day builds on the previous one.

You will not simply move through a collection of unrelated drills. The curriculum is designed to help you understand how the rally develops from the serve and return through the transition zone and eventually into kitchen play.

What You'll Learn

The First Five Shots?

Most pickleball rallies are decided within the opening 5 shots: The serve, return, third shot, fourth shot, and fifth shot. Yet many players practise these shots individually without fully understanding how they connect.

During this camp, you will learn:

  • The purpose of each of the first five shots

  • The technique required to execute each shot

  • Strategy around what to do with each shot

  • How to make better decisions under pressure

  • What to anticipate after hitting each shot

  • How your shot affects your partner’s positioning

  • How to create an advantage instead of simply keeping the ball in play

The goal is not only to help you hit better shots. It is to help you understand how to use those shots to construct the rally more effectively.

Day 1: Day One: Start the Rally Strong

Build a stronger foundation with the serve, return, and third shot.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Generate more controlled power and topspin on your serve

  • Hit returns that give you time to reach the kitchen

  • Improve your movement, positioning, and split step

  • Decide when to hit a third-shot drop or drive

  • Choose smarter targets and begin the rally with a plan

Benefit: Start more points with better control, positioning, and decision-making.

Day 2: Win the Transition

Learn how to manage the fourth and fifth shots and move through the transition zone more effectively.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Use the fourth shot to keep opponents back and apply pressure

  • Recognize when to attack and when to stay patient

  • Improve your body position and timing on the fifth shot

  • Decide when to reset, drop, drive, or attack

  • Advance to the kitchen with greater control

Benefit: Reduce transition errors and give yourself a better chance of reaching the kitchen successfully.

Day 3: Control the Kitchen

Bring everything together with strategy, positioning, and high-level kitchen play.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Improve your dinking technique and decision-making

  • Understand when to dink cross-court or straight ahead

  • Recognize attackable balls sooner

  • Reset under pressure and create pressure on opponents

  • Improve your positioning, counters, and hands battles

Benefit: Become more confident and effective once all four players reach the kitchen.

All Three Days: Coached Game Play

Apply what you learn during real games while receiving immediate feedback on your technique, positioning, shot selection, and decision-making.

Benefit: Turn instruction into practical improvement you can use in your regular games.

Why This Camp Is Different

Many players spend years playing without making meaningful improvements because they focus on playing games rather than training intentionally. This camp is designed to bridge that gap. Through focused drills, tactical discussions, and live-play scenarios, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the game while developing habits that transfer directly into competitive play. Our goal is not simply to teach shots. Our goal is to teach players how to think, move, and compete more effectively on the pickleball court.
